Media Advisory - Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay route and torchbearer programs to be announced tomorrow Nov 20, 2008 6:44:00 PM VANCOUVER, Nov. 20 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) will release details of the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay on Friday, November 21, including the national route -- proudly supported by the Government of Canada -- as well as how Canadians can apply to be torchbearers through Coca-Cola and RBC, the relay's presenting partners. Prior to the start of the official program, Chiefs from the Four Host First Nations will conduct a modified Salish witness ceremony to honour protocol and mark the significance of this milestone announcement.

Logistical details:
1) Credentials: On-site media registration and accreditation begins at
8:45 a.m.
Media are asked to bring their identification. A map of the centre's
location is located online at
www.kaymeekcentre.com/services/location_and_map.
2) Teleconference: A "listen in" teleconference will be made available.
The numbers are: 416.641.6126 or 1.866.696.5896 and participants are
asked to quote "VANOC Press Conference" when they call.
3) Interviews and filing rooms: Presenters will be available for scrums
and one on one interviews upon the conclusion of the presentation. There
will not be a formal question and answer session. Media will have access
to a filing room with wireless Internet.
4) Media materials and audio/video files: Extensive additional torch
relay media materials, including maps, media releases, backgrounders and
audio/video files providing region specific information will be available
at the announcement and in the media centre at www.vancouver2010.com.
5) Parking/Satellite Trucks
Parking is located at the southside of the Kay Meek Centre. Limited
parking is available for satellite trucks at the loading dock.
Broadcasters who wish to set-up a satellite truck should contact
