TORONTO, Nov. 20 /CNW/ - The Ontario Angel Capital Top Five Companies were selected from among Angel-invested enterprises pitching for capital yesterday at the First Canadian Co-investment Summit. These companies, presenting to over 120 Angels and other investors attending the Summit from across Canada, were deemed "Ontario's best early-stage investment opportunities," on the basis of their quality and prospects in current economic conditions.

"The commercialization of innovation is Ontario's sustainable resource," said W. Daniel Mothersill, President, National Angel Capital Organization. "The Government of Ontario is unique in recognizing Angel investment as the pipeline bringing innovations to market. Their invaluable support for Angels' development as a distinct class of capital will lead the way to renewed growth."
