TORONTO, Nov. 20 /CNW/ - The wait is finally over. Television's hottest anti-terrorist fighter, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) makes his return to primetime with 24: REDEMPTION. To mark the occasion, Canwest presents a special one night only simulcast of the highly anticipated movie across the Global and E! networks.

On Sunday, November 23 - 8pm ET/PT fans have the opportunity to tune into either network for the action-packed, spine tingling entertainment.

24: REDEMPTION is the 2-hour prequel to the all new season 7 slated for January 2009.

Set and shot on location in Africa, Jack Bauer and mentor Carl Benton (Robert Carlyle) battle an international crisis, while here at home the nation prepares for a new president on inauguration day. Taking place just a few months before the new day dawns, U.S. State Department officer Frank Tramell (Canadian Gil Bellows, Ally McBeal) and Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight, Mission: Impossible) are pulling the strings that will set the stage and raise the stakes for the new season.
